dimmi Molly

Bloomsday 2015, Trieste. I’ve been asked to prepare some pieces dedicated to Molly Bloom’s soliloquy, the final chapter of James Joyce’s Ulysses. Accordingly to the unstoppable flow of images that characterizes this extraordinary piece of literature, I conceived a 20-meters-long illustration, which we installed in a small but exquisite gallery place in the main square of Trieste, Piazza Unità. The illustrated strip was printed and installed by good friend and paste-up expert Jurij Nesterov, from Frameless.cc . Alongside the exhibition I had the chance to perform a live-reading of Molly Bloom’s monologue together with actress Diana Hobel (voice, direction) and the duo Babygelido (music). The whole poject took place in the frame of Bloomsday 2015, organized by Museo Joyce (in the person of Riccardo Cepach).

Below, some screenshots from the illustrated strip and pics of its gallery installment, plus some screenshots from the live-performance.
