Jonah

Jonah

live-painting-concert. Cosimo Miorelli – live digital painting • Marchissio (aka Mark Pinhasov) – music

Storytellers have always been a source of inspiration and entertainment, shaping the very way we perceive reality, affecting our decision-making process and ushering us towards the unknown future.
The live-painting concert is an unconventional way to tell a story. It combines live digital painting projected on a screen and live music, emulating the historical role of storytellers.
It results in an awe-inspiring performance that invites the audience to interpret the narrative as the events unfold on the screen.
We decided to start with the book of Jonah, a myth that still resonates in today’s world through the millennia. Metaphors and allegories, arranged to create a reflective story about conflict, compassion, atonement and hope.
The storyline follows a modern day Jonah, through her perilious journey, reviving and reinterpreting the passages of the Biblical story.
